Training Within Industry (TWI) is a dynamic program of hands-on learning and practice, teaching essential skills for supervisors, team leaders, and anyone who directs the work of others from all industries and vocations.
TWI supports the on-going development, improvement and sustaining of standard work practices.
Developed during WWII to address a workforce crisis – the need to quickly assimilate thousands of workers new to industrial environments – TWI was used in post-war Japan to facilitate industrial recovery. The foundation of TWI remains in use at Toyota today.
If your organization is struggling with creating, following and constantly improving standard work, then TWI can help!
